Lulu’s Thai Noodle Shop

minilogo1

I’ve heard rave reviews of Lulu’s Thai Noodle Shop and I’ve finally experienced it for myself!

Although parking was a pain in the neck, I thought the location and the building were really cool.  Lulu’s provides free parking in a lot about half a mile away and there’s a lot right outside the restaurant that charges $3…not a big deal, BUT a small inconvenience.
My date enjoyed one of Lulu’s fresh fruit-infused vodkas (he went with the pineapple) and I decided to stick with the Asian theme…

I was only on my second sip of Tsingtao when our food arrived! I thought the quick service was one of Lulu’s strong points.
I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai with medium heat.

The Pad Thai consisted of scallions, bean sprouts, egg, peanuts, tofu and rice noodles. I thought the purple cabbage was a nice touch, it didn’t add much flavor but it was colorful. I would’ve used the limes if I had shrimp, but opted out of putting it on the chicken, it just seemed weird.
Overall the flavors were good, just the right amount of heat, large chunks of chicken…the only thing I would’ve added was more peanut flavor. Other than that, I would give the Pad Thai an 8.
The fortune cookies were adorable!

There’s a little scroll inside, and the cookie was pretty tasty too! Check out Lulu’s Thai Noodle Shop, park half a mile away and burn off the calories you ate from their amazing food…bonus!
